Gay men the world over are going to be bursting at the seams. If you mention Lady Gaga or Cher, we go crazy (well, some of us do). What would you do if I mentioned both of those girls in the same song? What’s that? Did you just drop your drink and spit vodka out of your nose? I thought so.
It appears that Cher’s Farewell tour was misnamed. As was her second farewell tour. And, well, the third one and the fourth one. It is starting to remind me of horror movies that have the “final chapter”. But if you love something, you cling to it dearly and never let it go. Right?
Big buzz, especially for their many gay fans: Lady Gaga and Cher are collaborating on a song.
They have recorded a duet of The Greatest Thing Ever, written by Gaga and RedOne. And now, Cher has confirmed on Twitter that it will be released in September.
The song will be the first single from Cher’s 26th album, to be released later this year. Cher, 65, has also tweeted about a possible tour next year to promote the album.
Meanwhile, look for Gaga to open the MTV Video Music Awards show on Aug. 28.
