State of the Queer Union « Queer Landia

Here is my first post over on Queer Landia:

After the State of the Union, the LGBT community suddenly transformed into those annoying birds from Finding Nimo. What about me? Me? Me? Why didn’t the President talk about marriage equality? Why didn’t the President talk about ENDA? DOMA? What about the issues affecting me?

Step back for a minute and shift your perspective just a little bit. Think about America as a large business with 300 million employees. Pretend that you run this business. You have 300 million employees that are looking to you for help. All of these employees are screaming “Me! Me! Me!”.
